Sometimes I went out on the beach at the Fuengirola to watch the  fishermen at work.  It could be heartbreaking to see. They worked like  slaves, wading into the sea with their huge heavy net and laboriously  hauling it in, inch by inch, hour by hour up the sands: so much depended  on the catch.
